About us

At White Rock Osteopathy, we are dedicated to providing holistic, patient-centred care that supports the body’s natural ability to heal. Our practice is built on the fundamental principles of osteopathy—recognizing the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit, and understanding that true wellness comes from restoring balance and function.

We take a hands-on, whole-body approach to treatment, focusing on identifying and addressing the root causes of discomfort rather than simply alleviating symptoms. By integrating evidence-based techniques with a deep respect for the body’s innate healing potential, we aim to empower our patients to achieve lasting health and vitality.

Our mission is to offer compassionate and effective care that enhances mobility, relieves pain, and optimizes overall well-being. We are committed to continuous learning, ensuring that our treatments align with the latest advancements in osteopathic practice while remaining rooted in time-honoured principles.

At the heart of our philosophy is a dedication to treating each patient as a whole person—considering lifestyle, posture, movement, and overall health in our approach. Through gentle, precise manual therapy and personalized care plans, we strive to support our patients on their journey to improved health, helping them move, feel, and live better every day.

Our Team

Suzanne Schmidt, osteopathic practitioner in White Rock / South Surrey, British Columbia.

Suzanne Sturgess

Suzanne first graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2009 and has worked in many areas from deep tissue, sports, chronic pain to gentle spas. More recently, Suzanne has graduated from the Canadian School of Osteopathy in 2021 with a diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice. This was after her very own experience with an osteopath and how effective such a gentle treatment can be.

The complexity of peoples’ pain has led her to extend her knowledge into post-concussion, chronic pain, pre- and post-natal work and paediatric treatments. She continues to grow her knowledge, taking courses every chance she can.

Suzanne was born and raised in the White Rock, South Surrey area, is married and has 2 young girls. When she is not working, she is most likely driving her girls to gymnastics, watching her daughters at gymnastics competitions, running, biking, or peacefully knitting with a cup of tea and a cat on her lap.
